In order to support the strategy of reaching and engaging with customers across the world, LG Electronics have implemented a programme of high profile sponsorships on a global and domestic level.

At the start of the 2005 season, LG signed a deal with Fulham Football Club, to become their official Mobile Handset and Consumer Electronics partner. Fulham is the oldest of London's premier clubs, with records dating back to games played on a park pitch in 1879. Just 17 years later, the first game was played at Fulham's current home, Craven Cottage. Probably more than any other club, Fulham forged strong links to its footballing home, which adds to the unique family atmosphere that still exists today.

LG's relationship with Fulham FC is further enhanced with the additional benefit of becoming a partner with Harrods, thanks to the Chairman, Mohammed Al Fayed. This partnership has allowed LG to demonstrate the future of technology that will serve to enrich people's lifestyles. LG has been able to create the 'i-Gallery' which displays innovative, inspiring and imaginative technology which gives consumers a window into the digital future and demonstrates LG's cutting edge technology pipeline.

At the same time, LG will also start extending its existing partnership with Harrods, with the brand set to move into a new, high profile space within the store. LG's i-Gallery is predicted to occupy to a larger site, complementing its existing presence in the Sound & Vision area and supporting the recent unveiling of the company's purpose-built display in the Home Appliances department. Underpinning the brand's close association with the Club and its Chairman, Mohamed Al Fayed, this relationship reflects LG's strategy of putting in place brand-oriented relationships, giving the company the high visibility it demands.
